Pyeongchang, South Korea has won the rights to host the 2018 Winter Olympics. Pyeonchang had also attempted to host the 2010 games that ended in Vancouver as well as the 2014 ones that ended up going to Sochi, Russia. Pyeonchang ended up beating out Munich, German who were looking to become the first city to host the Summer and Winter Olympics.
