Is anyone really surprised by this decision? LeBron James has been trying to build his brand. What better way for him to take even more of the spotlight than to announce his much awaited decision live on ESPN? Now, of course this is the year 2010 and I would expect the decision to be leaked by someone at some point before ESPN goes on the air that night but a made for TV special is right up his alley. I'm honestly surprised that it took up until today for Team LeBron to get him set up on twitter. He joins fellow free agents Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade who have been using social media for a while now. Reports are that advertising revenue (or at least a portion of it) will go to "Boys and Girls Club of America")
Who will he end up signing with? I've thought all along that most likely he would return to Cleveland and take the extra $30 Million. I did mention the other day that if he did leave the Cavaliers he would be joining the Chicago Bulls. At this point I think he's going back to Cleveland and we'll see Dwyane Wade return to Miami. Anyone want to take any guesses?
Darren Rovell brings forward an interesting point.
1 hour special creates awkward setting for ESPN reporters. If they have the info, does this mean they can't break it before? As always you can leave a comment here, reach me by e-mail or .
