2010 NFL Divisional Round Predictions

Great week for me last going 4-0 as the Seahawks not only covered but they won outright. Had I stuck with my gut feeling I would have gone 4-0 in picking the winners too. Lesson learned for this week hopefully. Feel free to post your picks even if you didn't take part last week.

Here is how everyone did last week.
Me: 4-0
natthedem: 3-1
spudsfan: 3-1
Faraz: 2-2
Swarheit: 2-2
rkref: 2-2
Rovitz: 2-2
Imran: 2-2

Sorry for putting these up so late. I will just rush through the picks this week.

Ravens (+3) over the Steelers
Packers (+3) over the Falcons
Seahawks (+10) over the Bears
Jets (+9) over the Patriots

I am taking the Ravens to beat the Steelers outright. This has been a really heated rivalry in recent years and Hines Ward's hit on Ed Reed certainly didn't help to calm things down. Speaking of Ed Reed, there is still no update on his missing brother.

It was great to see Aaron Rodgers get a playoff win under his belt  last week after yet another NFL season that was dominated by Brett Favre headlines. Two of the best young Quarterbacks in the league going head to head here and I am really looking forward to this one. I felt going into last week that their defense would do the job against the speedy Eagles. I am taking the Packers to win outright on the road for the 2nd straight week.

Bears/Seahawks is a tricky one for me. The Seahawks will definitely cover and I wouldn't be surprised to see them pull off the win here. I just don't think the Bears are that good. Whoever wins here loses next year to the winner of the Packers/Falcons game. Looks like I didn't learn my lesson from last week because gut feeling says that Seattle wins.

I am really looking forward to the Jets/Patriots. Call me crazy but I think the Jets win this one. Yes, the Patriots did win their last meeting in a really lopsided game but this Jets team had one hell of a year. For whatever reason this team never gets any credit. Rex Ryan has called this the 2nd biggest game in franchise history. I'll have to read into it a little bit more but this is an important game for the team. A win here would go a long way towards silencing critics here at home. Last time these two teams met in Foxboro, Tom Brady threw 2 interceptions in a 28-14 Jets win. A 9 point line is absolutely ridiculous here. I am taking the Jets to win outright and go to the Conference Championship game for the second straight yet.
