A large commercial jet flew low over the Hudson River in NYC, accompanied by military aircraft. Officials say it is a drill.
That was a Breaking News Tweet I got this morning. Who at the Air Force/FAA thought it was a bright idea to do this "photo shoot" in Manhattan of all places without sufficient advanced warning to the public?

Appearantly the plane was one of Barack Obama's backup planes. The story from Reuters and from the Wall Street Journal.
